Third Annual Flour Power Family Fun Fest is Almost Here!

Memorial Health Foundation is gearing up for the Third Annual Flour Power Family Fun Fest! It will be held on Friday, June 4, and Saturday, June 5 at the Abilene Fairgrounds. We hope this will be our biggest year yet! Last year the Fest saw more than 2,500 people who traveled from across Kansas and out of state.

Flour Power will continue to offer a Kansas City Barbeque Society-sanctioned state championship barbeque contest, a car show, children's activities, food, vendors, along with brand new events that offer fun for all ages.

The proceeds from the 2010 festival will benefit Digital Mammography equipment for Memorial Hospital's Imaging Services Department. Rather than build a soon-to-be obsolete darkroom and storage area for film in a new hospital facility, the Foundation is raising money for this new technology. The storing of digital rather than physical files means even a disaster won’t destroy patients’ images. Digital files can also be sent electronically to specialists- saving critical time in diagnosis.
