MHS offers scholarships to students pursuing health-related careers with a job opportunity following their schooling. Scholarships are available to those pursuing any health-related profession. Students can be awarded up to $3,500. After graduating, scholarship recipients will return to MHS to work for a year for each year they receive a scholarship. Interested persons should contact Trish Berns, Chief Nursing Officer, at (785) 263-6612, to set up an appointment and receive an application packet by February 17, 2012.
Want to begin a career in nursing? Are you are interested in a position as a Certified Nursing Assistant, but you are not yet certified? Memorial Health System offers a comprehensive benefits package to employees. The Learn and Grow Depot, an affiliate of Memorial Health System, is a licensed Child Development Center that serves up to 100 children from 6 weeks to 12 years old. It is located on Brady Street immediately East of Memorial Hospital. This facility is also available to the Abilene area community.
